HTUS stands within the Presbyterian denomination creeds, affirming the sovereignty of God over all creation, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. HTUS prepares men and women to serve Jesus Christ in ministries based on Biblical interpretation and theological education. It also educates leaders for the church according to the National Ideology of Education and the Presbyterian denomination creeeds.

We are committed to the education of students in spiritual formation and training. We are commtted to preparing students to serve in academia, community, society, and the church. We will continue to enhance the quality of educational programs to prepare our students for leadership in churches at a world class level. We also seek to integrate faith and learning through ground-breaking teaching, creative scholarship, and practical experience in ministries, as we respond to our changing societies and cultures.

We aim to culitvate church leaders of noble character as well as profound knowledge, leaders who will be able to contribute to the development of the nation and to world peace.
